I had a wonderful time, they took very good care of me. Room, food, drinks and customer service was excellent! They really weren't ready for our crew because we like to party and most people there went to bed early. Like before midnight 🤣🤣🤣 so we had to party at the bowling alley and not at our rooms.

Very over-rated resort. Don't waste the extra premium at this place. There seemed to be no communication amongst the staff. Orders were incorrect at all meals. Service was very slow in some places. We were there for a friend's wedding and two days before they were still trying to get details of when and where. Butlers were never on time and staff kept making up excuses for not coming through. Our friends Honeymoon breakfast was never delivered. Then showed up without notice a day late with only food for one not two. It got to the point where we were making bets on how many mistakes would be made. Sandals promotes great service but they just don't deliver. Staff are either over-worked or really under-trained and no one owns any of the mistakes. Nice grounds and good food but there are many resorts that have that now at much less cost. Sandals should spend more on their staff, and less on advertising.

Resort is on south side of island so wind is 15-30 mph most of time and water is super rough. Saw multiple people get knocked down by waves. That would be only "negative" I guess. But water color is amazing and resort is nice

My husband and I stayed on a Club level beach front room at Sandals Barbados. The resort is gorgeous and impeccably maintained. The landscaping is lush and tropical and everything you're looking for in a Caribbean vacation resort. The management seems to focus on treating guests really well upon arrival and departure but they need to sprinkle that customer service throughout the resort - particularly at the restaurants. This was my first experience with any Sandals property at all but I definitely felt like service was not consistent throughout my stay. I asked other guests that I came across and the resounding opinion from everyone was they felt more like they were treated like a nuisance rather than a valued guest. I will say a few employees went out of their way to be helpful, while it felt like others went out of their way to be difficult. Maybe it's staffing issues due to Covid, maybe it's cultural differences but it's definitely an area that can and needs to be improved. There's no excuse for feral cats to have their run of all of the outdoor restaurants. It's a problem that should be a priority for Sandals to deal with. My husband and I didn't have a single outdoor dining experience - day or night where we didn't have to deal with them. Lastly if you're hoping to enjoy a tropical cocktail concoction on the beach do yourself a favor and buy a bottle of duty free rum (or whatever your alcohol preference is) at the airport to supplement. They DEFINITELY water everything down.

Stayed here in Summer of 2017 with my husband. Such a relaxing and romantic resort. Food was amazing, as well as the drinks. Such a gorgeous country! The beaches are mesmerizing and crystal blue. Will definitely return.

Another great experience at Sandals. Darren at Bombay was outstanding helping us newbies select and thoroughly enjoy our meal. Saw him again at Butch's Steak & Seafood. That is how professional and in demand he is! Attentive, genuine and a true gentleman. Sandals is lucky to have him!!

My husband and I both had 2 COVID tests, vaccine cards etc. Not only did they shoo us to our room to quarantine we had to call NUMEROUS times to see when we could be freed. Well a whole day and 1/2 later they freed is in the evening. It was a nightmare we were only there for 5 days. When we went to book restaurants for the rest of our short stay all the restaurants were booked and they could do nothing. We tried to make the best of our stay but so many things fell short. I will absolutely be back to Barbados but I will never give my money to Sandals resorts again. They way they treated us was pretty poor. The least they could have done after making us stay in our rooms was let us go to a nice restaurant or give us our money back for the 2 days lost. Nothing! I would say run the other way should you decide a Sandals resort. I can't wait until cruise lines are going again. The only great thing was these fruit tarts! They were amazing, compliments to the chef!

We had a one week stay in August 2021, staff needs work. Requested a drink three times over a course of hour and thirty minutes. A group of 12 people wanting to play pool volleyball requested a ball over an hour past and one of the guests just decided to go grab a volleyball from the beach nets then the staff demanded him to return the ball back to the beach then finally staff walked over to a room that was only 20 feet away from the group of 12 and got them a volleyball for the game. Vacationers pay thousands of dollars to visit and service lacks. Go to a different sandals location. The coffee shop machines are normally not working. The resort is beautiful. I give the grounds crew a 5 Star. The steak at the English pub is better then the steaks at Butches.... I'm comparing our stay to other 5 Star resorts we visited. Ralph the night bar tender is Amazing give the man a raise. The English pub manager also needs a raise. Most staff seemed to hate their job or at least that was the vibe.

Amazing all inclusive truly. Take no wallet with you. Secluded pools and nice staff. Relax and they will bring you drinks. The grounds are very impressive

This is the most beautiful of all of the Sandals Resorts I have visited so far. The island of St Lucia may be my favorite but having these two Resorts next to each other is hard to beat. Royal Barbados has modern rooms that are top notch.

The resort is awesome. Great beach and water is fantastic. Food and service is great. The butler service is a must. This was our first time with butler service and is not our last. Our butler staff was great. Nicholson our butler was fantastic. He anticipated our needs before we asked him. I highly recommend Sandals Royal Barbados.

Ricardo, the shuttle pick up driver from the airport, was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a great start to our honeymoon! Rodney, the bartender at the rooftop bar, was absolutely incredible. He made the best drinks, he was sweet, and patient. My husband and I made sure to go see him every night on our vacation after we found him. One night, there was a flute player named Adrian. He played incredibly well and was very well-mannered. His music was a great touch for evening drinks. Checking in was a bit of a mess. They did not make it clear that you should check in early online so it took quite a while for us to be allowed into our rooms. Other than that, everything was amazing. The food was delectable. All of the staff was polite. It was a great place for a relaxing week.

The hotel was wonderful! The staff was very professional and friendly. There were many different events on the hotel grounds and off to partake in. Our biggest takeaway from our stay was the relaxation and the hospitality. Definitely coming back. I would encourage guests to see more of the island vices staying at the resort.
