Please do not listen to these people complaining about the smallest things. We just came back from our honeymoon and cannot say enough good things about the resort. The trip from the airport to hotel was quick and well organized. The staff from the second we arrived were so nice and amazing. The food was unreal. Yes you have to call and book right when you get to your room for the 3 restaurants that take reservations but that's pretty common and well worth it. We never had to wait for a restaurant or service. The food trucks were great too. The offshore island was beautiful and is a must visit. We also never had a problem finding chairs on the beach. Yes the towels are a little hard to find but we just brought our own beach towels and problem solved. Overall it was an amazing 5 days.

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon and have nothing but good things to say. From the moment we arrived we were treated with kindness and friendliness. The service was AMAZING. Food was DELICIOUS just about everywhere. There were so many activities and the private island was incredibly relaxing and fun. The staff is awesome as well. They were always asking if you needed anything and also playing around and engaging in a lot of the activities which kept things feeling lively and fun. The night time entertainment was great as well. We loved how everything was centered outside near the beach. We split our trip in half and went to Atlantis after staying at sandals and we wished we would have stayed at sandals. 10/10 recommend.

We had a great vacation at the Royal Bahamian resort. Britany was a wonderful waitress. She made excellent recommendations! The staff was very friendly. We were part of a group & it felt like restaurants weren't prepared or appreciated large groups. We always had long wait times for dinner reservations & service. The drinks were fantastic, my favorites were the dirty banana & the dragon drink. One major source of frustration everyday were the lack of clean/dry beach towels. There were NOT enough to go around. Our room was clean, the beach & pool areas were clean & the public restrooms were kept clean & stocked. We went on the catamaran excursion & I would recommend that if you like to snorkel & party. It was a great time but remember to bring cash to tip the staff on the catamaran.

Looking forward to a relaxing week at the Royal Bahamian, however it was far from the experiences we have had at other Sandals and Beaches resorts. It started with our transfer to the hotel, looking forward to riding in a Mercedes or Rolls Royce, that did not happen. Once we got to the resort our room was not ready until after 4pm. After a long day of travel getting settled into our room right away would have been nice. Upon entering our room it seemed dated and not exactly the room that was described or in the picture. We did have a fully stocked bar with champagne waiting, which was nice. They did accommodate us in making the room more as we expected. That was the best our room looked in the seven days...our champagne bucket never was never refilled, ice bucket never filled unless asked, coffee and coffee cups not replaced unless asked, floor was always dirty, therefore our feet always felt grimy. The service was mediocre at best…no special touches from butlers, long wait for drinks, all dinners taking longer than expected, food quality was average. These have never been issues at any other Sandals resort or Butler services we have experienced in the past . I do feel the Butlers were friendly and professional, and did check in periodically. Your resort was beautiful and clean but have never heard so many complaints from repeat Sandals guests, and also, first time guests. Which is completely opposite of what we have heard from guests at other Sandals we have stayed at. All in all we would not recommend anyone coming to this resort and has us second guessing our loyalty to Sandals and our scheduled upcoming trips. We definitely feel we did not get the value we paid to stay at this resort.

The grounds were beautiful! Butler Service was good! Cleanliness of our villa when we arrived was average. It was better the following day after service in the morning. We had to ask for bath towels twice and we ran out of toilet paper at one point. Food was average. Waitstaff was unorganized and average. No top shelf liquor. We had to wait on average of 5 minutes for a drink at the bars/swim up bars. They definitely have no problem telling you "no" even with just trying to get an evening coffee/espresso. We were not picked up in a Rolls Royce at the airport as promised. Our trip was not worth what we paid. We booked a villa with a private pool and butler service.

This was our first Sandals experience. We were blown away at the service, cleanliness, the food, and we had amazing butlers. They really added to the stay, would highly recommend a butler room. The private island was beautiful. We had a room in the Island Village with a private pool, so amazing. Room 737 has complete privacy out on the patio, many have openings in the fence.

Where to start?! It was absolutely amazing from the free airport pickup, being greeted with a delicious fruity drink, champagne and a cool towel to the personal welcome tour and lunch while waiting for the room to be ready, being personally escorted to the room and given details of the resort. The view from our room was AMAZING!! Not to mention how well it was clean and very well stocked! We were able to completely unplug and not worry about anything, when they say it's all included they mean all included!! We were able to lock our wallets in a safe for the entire week and not worry about tips here or there or extra costs. The food was OUTSTANDING I don't think there wasn't a dish we didn't enjoy at any of the 10 places to eat, the unlimited alcohol was great and they brought our orders right to the pool. The spa and massage was incredible and the water sports included were fun. It almost sounds too good to be true but honestly it was the most relaxing and amazing couples get away!! Our only complaint was the rain on our last day. Lol If you've been considering going, GO!! You won't regret it!!

Usually I don’t do reviews but I had to after an amazing stay! The staff was friendly and welcoming! The manager, Arizona at the food trucks was great! My husband and I went for my birthday 🥳. I have no complaints, we definitely will be back again.

Royal Bahamian was wonderful! The renovations are noticeable. Not quite finished yet. Our room was not finished and we had to downgrade. Although we were not told ,we were there for the soft opening. Hoping the Private Island and restaurants are all open the next time we visit. Staff is still training and getting their routines down. But they all were so friendly and wanting to help! 1st class Staff! We will be going back to see JoJo! She was the best!! Jo Jo went above and beyond to help me plans things for the celebration we were there for. Thanks Sandals, for making our stay so memorable.

Seriously please read the REAL reviews before booking here. I don’t want anyone to have the same experience as we did. It was heartbreaking for what you pay, firstly our room got moved because the one we booked we under construction. The room we were moved to initially cost less, however since they started moving rooms this one “costs more” as a play to make people think they are getting better value. You are not you are getting old outdated and scammed. Wet paint everywhere, doors left open for construction zones. This is not a resort it is a warzone. I would rather stay in a hospital than here because it would feel more like a resort than this place. If you read the news articles “55 million dollar renovation” I gotta ask, WHERE DID THAT MONEY GO!!! Because it did not go into this resort!! But I was my money you stole. This was supposed to be a special time for my wife and what she has accomplished and been through. Truthfully I feel like the fool, their marketing team are the real masterminds.

Não sei se o hotel é inadequado para nós ou seeu e minha mulher não fomos feitos para esse tipo de hotel. Embora tudo se apresentasse adequado detestamos a “fórmula” Sandals. Tudo é muito artificial. Parece um exercício de marketing. Os corredores do hotel são hipergelados, em contraste com o forno ao ar livre. Por fim, o buffet da tarde não está à altura de um hotel cinco estrelas.

Não reserve aqui. O atendimento ao cliente deles tem sido horrível. Tínhamos reservado uma viagem aqui em novembro e eles fecharam o hotel para reformas. Eles nos ofereceram para refazer a reserva quando o hotel reabrisse em fevereiro e tiveram que passar pelo incômodo de refazer a reserva da viagem, creche e voos. Foi-nos oferecido um crédito de $ 500 por pessoa para refazer a reserva dos voos, o que, aliás, não foi suficiente para cobrir os mesmos dias da semana, então agora temos que ir em dias de folga, pois o custo dos voos aumentou desde que reservamos originalmente. Do not book here. Their customer service has been horrible. We had booked a trip here in November and they closed the hotel for renovations. They offered us to rebook when the hotel reopens in February, and had to go through the hassle of rebooking the trip, daycare, and flights. We were offered a $500 credit per person to rebook the flights, which btw was not enough to cover the same days of the week so now we have to go on off days since the cost of flights has gone up since we originally booked. I submitted receipts to be reimbursed the $857 flight difference and I told them it had to go on a new card because we used a Visa gift card to book the room. I have tried to get my money back for the flights but they say they used the card on file (one that we no longer have) and that they can't do anything else for us and it is now our responsibility to try and get this money back. This is just an example of a large business taking advantage of a customer who has done everything they asked. So disappointing to be treated this way.

We have been to Sandals resorts 6 times, including5 times at Royal Bahamian in late February. The Good: 1. Location: Within 1/2 hour from airport in a quiet location. And only a few minutes walk to west end of Cable beach via laneway off of main road for daily walk on the beach. For runners like my wife and I, we enjoyed running (up to 18 km) towards Nassau with several small parks and beaches along the way. Unlike all other all inclusive resorts we have vacationed at, the opportunity to run outside, instead of being stuck in a hot, indoor gym was a major draw. 2. Private island 3. Food: Above average, with some very good meals. The only disappointment was the Japanese with poor sushi (never went back after first time). 4. Beach: never overcrowded, but difficult to obtain beach chairs (see below) 5. Scuba divingThe Bad: 1. Restaurant reservations: It is difficult to book except for late evening slots, even when you try to book at check in (for a 7 night stay).I assume that they must reserve many open spots for Butler service guests. Often we will see few tables that remain empty and we will be told that all tables are reserved. 2.Beach chairs: Usually, the only means to obtain one is to go out by 7 am, when the Butlers are reserving them for their guests.And often, many of the Butler reserved chairs remain unoccupied for most of the day and sometimes the entire day (you can tell which ones are Butler reserved because the butlers leave their guests' name on the chair). If there is a corporate event, it's even worse. We don't stay poolside, but it appears to be similar scenario there. 3.Service: The first 4 vacations, it was great, with friendly staff who always greeted you usually with a smile.However, for the last 2 trips, it was noticeably unfriendly with markedly below average service, with few exceptions. We let it pass during the 2nd last vacation, but the service was similarly less friendly and indifferent a second year in a row, and we noted significant staff turnover from the 4th to 6th vacations. 4. Price: It is more expensive but we really felt that it was worth it for all the "Good" outweighing the "Bad".We booked again for Feb 2021 but rebooked it for Feb 2022 due to COVID, but for an additional $900 USD for the same room.Due to ongoing COVID concerns (large number of cases currently in Bahamas with less than one-half of the population with 1 shot of COIVD vaccine), we decided to postpone the trip again for Feb 2023, but there's an additional $700 USD fee.We understand that there will be additional costs to operate any business due to COVID.However, given that it was already above average cost compared to similar all inclusives and now with the deteriorated service, we now feel that the elevated price makes Sandals not worth it.What brought us back each year was the additional 11% discount for your next trip if you booked while staying at Sandals.Also, after 70 nights (10 one week vacations), they reward you with a 1 week vacation for free (excluding flights).We would have given 4 stars, but now 3 stars due to much less value for the price. So, we have cancelled our upcoming trip, with loss of our deposit. And we do not plan to book again with Sandals in the future.

Booked the Royal Bohemian April 12 for mid May. Was told it would be open. Two days later found out it not going to open until November. So I called back to get a refund and they said sure. Great right. But no you will receive your refund in 27-31 days. Now I’m out $4,000 for 30 days. They should be able to refund the money just as quick as they took it. This problem needs to be fixed.

One month before our reservation at the Royal Bohemian on Nassau where our daughter was to be married and a few days after taking our final payments Sandals Resort canceled our reservation in order to close the resort and renovate. They offered to change us to a different resort but anything comparable was booked up. There was no offer to give us a discount for our inconvenience or any other solution other than to change our dates or wait for the resort to reopen. They did offer $500 to help offset flight ticket changes. This was to be a wedding destination involving multiple reservations.You don't just change your dates, your vacation time from work, your flight tickets, your childcare arrangements AND the large wedding reception planned once we all came home for the many family and friends who could not join us in the Bahamas.The phone communication is 3rd world. I spent hours on hold trying to find an alternate resort, literally.When we decided to just get a refund it took 2 1/2 hours and 3 calls. We have to wait 6-7 weeks to get our money. Shady unprofessional business. Never again. This company sucks. Don't trust Sandals Resorts.

Had a week long stay here in the villa w/ outdoor soaking tub. The privacy and amenities included were amazing! The food, talent activities, service, and friendliness kept us wishing we could stay longer! Highly recommend staying, visiting the downtown market, and the 2nd island is an absolute must!

Absolutely beautiful here! Perfect weather! The room was perfect. I absolutely loved sitting on the balcony. All of the staff are so friendly and quick to help! The restaurants here are top notch!! The food was amazing! They had a pool for relaxing on one side and a pool for fun on the other. I highly recommend this place! I plan to go back again someday.

Update: Our trip was 10 years ago and since then I had an accident with a chainsaw where I had to have my hand put back together by a surgeon. What does this have to do with our trip, nothing, but even after the chainsaw incident, our week at the resort still ranks as the worst week of my life. Worst week of my life. Food poisoning for both my wife and myself, there was what appeared to be vomit in the pool, feral cats around the resort, game room looked like an abandoned after school recreation room and our dinner reservation that we paid a hefty extra for was delayed two hours while we sat there with no food. In response to the food poisoning, they did send a nurse over to administer an anti-nausea medication, but it may might have just been the cleaning staff with a syringe of water. Possibly a used one because my wife had to go right to the hospital when we landed back home because the injection site was infected and she couldn't walk. Do yourself a favor, take the $5,000 you were going to spend on this trip, burn it and stay home.........you're welcome.

We were very disappointed, this was a very expensive vacation for us and our expectations were high. Room the first night was just down the corridor from the piano bar, it was very loud and the sing along singers couldn't sing. Also the TV menu didn't work so no info for night 1. We asked to be moved next day and were moved up 3 floors,much quieter. Toilets backed up in this room and the shower flooded the floor. Water in the minibar wasn't replaced, had to ask for it as well as glasses. Staff were either good, or very bad, concierge when asked for help was downright rude apparently I wasn't the right class to receive polite help. The food in general was good. Disappointed that the snack diner was not running.. The island was the best part of the vacation although you can hardly call it private when you don't own the whole island. For me the best part of the vacation was the diving the crew were professionals and the corals and fish were some of the best I have seen in the Caribbean. This was not our first Sandals, but it was our last. Can't justify spending that amount of money when we can get the same luxury for a third of the price from your competitor's. You have lost us as customers.😥😥🏝🏖😥

This was our eighth visit to the Royal Bahamian. We were very happy with everything, except the new alcohol procedure. Unlike our previous visits, we were told we, each, had to select only one libation. My wife selected white wine and was adequately furnished. I asked for scotch, but was told they were totally out of scotch and I would have to pick a substitute. Thinking this was short term, I settled for bourbon. I was told I could have "other" scotch for an additional charge of $ 35. Each, of our 10 day stay, I would ask again for their standard scotch but was told they were still out of scotch. We have had great experiences at other Sandals resorts, but found it hard to believe that over 10 days, an operation as elegant as Sandals couldn't find one bottle of scotch.

We had a great time. We just love going to Sandals in general. The Royal Bahamian is not too far from the airport, has great restaurant choices, a nice pool scene and some good beach area. This is our second time going to this resort and us going back should say enough. I only go with a 4 because it has to be amazing with absolutely zero issues, and that's not something that happens very often.

have a step son going there for their honeymoon. thought it would be nice to leave a gift voucher for them upon arrival Asked what i want written etc well they arrived checked in spent he day at the resort call home and we are waiting patiently for the thank you....nothing.... very disheartening to do something like this and then hear oh we were waiting for them to make an appointment for an excursion. (which they did earlier in the day). So now we tell them about it that took away the surprise. On line last night with their chat group. 10,000 apologies but nothing they can do. Call this morning girl who answers tells me they wait until excursion i booked then tell them. i told her the excursion was booked but they wee not notified. Talked to supervisor Andrew, he again was so sorry told me it should of been waiting for them upon arrival so sorry but there is nothing he can do to help. A first class resort as billed and there is nothing they can do. Not asking for a million dollars but an extra something would of at least eased the disappointment of the surprise.

We had a absolutely wonderful time. The staff so nice and welcoming. The resort was beautiful. All you can eat food. Great entertainment. Awesome water sports. And to top it off, the private island was amazing. We enjoyed a couples massage and private candle lit dinner on the beach. When we went back to our room, we have rose petals on the floor and our bed, chocolate covered fruit, and a bottle of champagne. We will definitely be back!
