“TOTAL SCAM , WESTIN BETTER, CHEAPER RIGHT ADJACENT
On their website they advertise a “family package” for 1000 dollars advertised as 2 rooms to accommodate 4. We were lied to on their website and informed by the non-English speaking staff that the “family package” only gives one room, which is written in tiny font on the reservation. the same room costs 700€ on their website. Check in was only made harder by the staffs narrow language skills, the receptionist didn’t speak English, only Italian and some other Slavic language, and the Manager spoke English most of which I couldn’t understand. I almost forgot I was at ST REGIS !! Also, beware that if your a Marriott Platinum status your entitled upgrade upon avalibility will not be granted, regardless of availability as the hotel was half empty and they’re still selling the better rooms. Valet doesn’t help you with your bags, And don’t buy the Arno River view for 150€ it’s mostly a view of the alley across from you, or a view of a trashy river if your lucky.
We must stay at Marriott hotels so the next night we took our luggage to Westin which is adjacent to the St Regis and HALF THE PRICE. The lobby and rooms were just as nice and the staff spoke English 😂.

“The front desk ladies were probably the nicest people we’ve come across on our travels, what gems! The concierge guys were great and very helpful. We forgot our passports in the safe, and all the staff couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating with our mistake.
I love interior design and get upset when hotels have badly designed spaces, but I had zero complaints with this place, it was beautiful. The breakfast room is gorgeous! All of the antique art and mirrors were so lovely.
Our room was excellent and very comfortable.
We will definitely stay there again next time we’re in Florence.”
