“This resort as everything that would make you want to go home early from your vacation. Not sure where to start. 1st they gave us the wrong room, ran out of alcohol. Limes, mint, water bottles. You name it. They ran out. We went in town and bought our own mint and limes. No waitstaff anywhere in resort Around beach area. Common areas or pool area. 1 bartender each at the only 2 bars. Website says it has 4 restaurants. 2 are only open and with their understaffing problem, it took forever to get a meal. The buffet food was the same thing over and over and quality of food was below what we had expected. Could eAt there any more. Eat off site. Mold On ceiling tile in bathroom. Housekeeping was terrible. No room service first day, no clean towels after room was cleaned, it wasn’t good. Found a rolled cigarettes on my balcony from housekeeping smoking in our room while they were suppose to be cleaning it. Pool deck filthy. Never rinsed down or pool cleaned the entire week were there. The worse entertainment. That was a joke. Stay away to anyone who even thinks about this resort. One more thing. This building was built in 1965 and they barely did anything to renovate this old building. Very disappointed. Never stayed at a resort this bad nor will I ever again”

“Everything about this place missed. We checked in Sunday, it was apparent immediately that no one has any peep in their step. It’s insulating to tourists who are spending hard earned money to travel there. If you can’t greet guests with smiles don’t work in this industry. This goes more for the bar tenders and wait staff. They all lacked any interest in speed or pleasing guests. No smiles, in fact I saw on multiple occasional eye rolls when people would order a drink, or they would just flat out ignore you…even when being tipped. You have to ask 2-3 times for anything from pillows to towels, and god forbid you want water in your room mini fridge, or your room to be cleaned (with tip) no one there respects the industry. Needless to say, we called our booking company after 2 nights and were thankfully moved to the Mongrove and within minutes of arriving we felt like we had entered the four seasons. They even brought champagne to our room to apologize for the poor experience at the Dreams. (Yes that’s correct, our new hotel smiled, gifted us a bottle and apologized for something completely unrelated to them.) I have stayed at many Dreams in other places and this place does not hit the mark to carry this brand. I heard…they had a new GM and I’m hoping he can whip it into shape, but the moral of the story is he should begin by secret shopping his own staff at different bars, restaurants, etc and I can only assume he’d be very disappointed. We are now feeling extremely excited about the remainder of our stay, because after all this is a beautiful island.”
