We stayed for 8 nights in May of this year and had an excellent time. From check in to check out every single staff member was outstanding and gave us five star service, from the pool bartenders to evening servers we were always well taken care of. Special shout-out to Alejandro V. at the Market Cafe who we had the pleasure of meeting while at the resort. He gave us OUTSTANDING service and we actually went back to the restaurant multiple times during our stay because he consistently provided 5 star service. The resort was beautiful and well maintained. Everything was very clean. We got the preferred club and had access to the rooftop pool which is the best at the resort. Great beach views. The concierge team was very pleasant and patient with us, they went over all of our activity options and helped us choose a few off site things to do during our stay.

Pros: The food & drinks were very good! Which I was surprised about considering this is an all inclusive. The staff was also very attentive so no complaints in that aspect. Cons: The hotel was very pretty but there was a sewer smell in the lobby area. It seemed like the smell was attempted to be masked by fragrance, but it was still unpleasant. The hotel also does not maintain its beach clean as other resorts are constantly trying to clean the seaweed off the sand. I found the restaurants to close early as well as the bar area (11pm). Which left the hotel feel empty & boring as there was no entertainment afterwards. Which can be a pro or con depending on whether you are willing to travel outside of the hotel for entertainment. The rooms were very pretty and clean as well but there is room for more attention to detail. The hotel needs to remove appliances that have rust such as the makeup mirror. It makes the room feel of a lower level. When the attempt is to have a luxury stay experience. Also, I was only give two pillows which were pretty flat. I never have had this happen even at lower scaled hotels.

The resort itself is relatively nice. Good pool areas with friendly bar staff and servers. The room we had was along the side of the building so it gave us a view of the ocean and lagoon but our room must've been just beneath the kitchen for the 12th floor restaurants because there was often a constant odor of cooking grease. As for the food, our experience was that the breakfast buffet was good but the main restaurants we tried were quite awful. We did the Mexican location one evening, the Sea Salt Grill one afternoon, and the Blue Water Grill (steakhouse) another evening. All of which had small portions and lackluster tasting food. The steak house even failed to have the flank steak in stock that was on their menu. Fortunately the resort is across the street from some excellent restaurants that we had opted for the remaining nights. Lastly, be prepared to get harassed for a presentation of some sorts in regards to a timeshare-like product. It's advertised as 90 minutes and they give you credits towards a spa or other in house services but it lasted nearly 2 hours regardless of whether your sign up - we did not. We put it towards a couples massage which actually was very relaxing. Overall I would not recommend this resort. It advertises itself as 5 stars according to Google but it definitely is nowhere near that. I even did a walk through of their "preferred" rooms and was not impressed. I'd consider other all-inclusive resorts at this price point. And be prepared to want to eat out if you consider yourself as an individual with a good taste in food. I was between 2 and 3 stars for my rating but I'll be generous.

We spent 5 days 4 nights there. Service is supreme and staff is super helpful. Food and gym are all great. We had a VIP package, I would say it's worth the money to make the vacation a super great experience. The resort has its own gate to control people in and out come on during this pandemic. I personally feel super safe to stay. The hotel also offers free covid test on the day before you leave, that makes the trip less stressed as well.

Lovely setting on the strip with twin direction-facing rooms, nice big rooms with espresso machine and free beers, although we found it odd there were no towel rail or coat hooks for the dressing gowns. Staff were great but obviously attend most to those who tipped. Had a nice fun vibe, good entertainment, good choice of restaurants (we has Mediterranean, Steak and Asian for our 3 night stay which were all good for all-inclusive albeit not the best we’ve ever had) but wine by the bottle is expensive to buy and over-priced. You cannot book the restaurants but can wait with a drink at most which was fine. We had already travelled round Yucatan but they offered excursions. We’d recommend booking an airport to hotel transfer in advance - tax was $70 for 15 minute drive. For an all-inclusive adults-only holiday, it was a solid choice so would recommend on that basis.

Staff? 5 stars. Very kind, helpful, willing to do what it takes to make you happy. (Shout out to butlers Jessica and Mose!) The hotel looks very nice and modern. We are still questioning whether the "preferred" upgrade was worth it, but we are leaning towards yes for access to the extra pool and the very attentive staff there. But for an all-inclusive at this price point, the food needs work. It all looked pretty, but tasted very bland, even in the Mexican restaurant. Maybe they make it bland to cater to a broad clientele (or the quality of the ingredients was off that week), but we were disappointed frequently in the food. Otherwise a really good vacation!

Overall, this resort is great. The food was excellent at every restaurant we tried and the service was incredible. We booked a room in the preferred club. It was nice having our own pool area, a couple bars and a butler that was available most of the time. Our butlers, Yuri and Sandra, were awesome and kept us informed of daily activities around the resort. We spent most of our time on the beach directly in front of the resort. The sand was soft and the water was super clear. The wait staff on the beach, especially Alberto and Roberto, were great and always kept our glasses full. There are vendors walking through the beach selling their wares or offering para-sailing. Most of them were friendly, even if you told them no. We did find a couple of deals with the older vendors and were happy to spend money with them. If you are looking for a quiet, couples getaway this is the place to be. There isn't as much going on here as some other resorts in the area but they do offer some nightly activities. I would highly recommend Secrets The Vine for anyone just looking for a low-key vacation with great food and beautiful scenery.

The resort is beautiful, new, and the amenities are great. The pools and beach area are really nice as well. What this resort needs to improve is a verbal explanation on what services we have paid for and what is available to us on day of arrival or at least the next day. We had asked them in person the next day we arrived but they left out some important information. We had given this polite recommendation in person and their response was that we should have read “the contract”. We needed a rapid covid test prior to our flight and one of the employees was not respectful of our time when another guest had allowed us to go before them. Otherwise, this resort is beautiful and I recommend staying here.

Good food. Nice hotel. Stay away from VIP services. Bad times. Read your contract. They may try to get you to sign without reading. Slick terms from a slick team. Maybe next time I will vacation at a used car lot. Less drama. This is 100% my subjective opinion and in no way intended to be a factual assertion. This is our second day. Maybe we will consider an edit towards the end.

Room - 5/5 Food 4/5 Beach 5/5 Distance from shopping 4/5 Spent 9 days here in October of 2021. Had an excellent time overall and got some much-needed relaxation. For the more adventurous, a bus will take you downtown and only costs $1 US. Be prepared to do some walking to get where you want to go from the bus stop. For the rest of us a cab is a good way to go. $15-20 each way. Was always a little cynical about the tours that take you swimming with the dolphins. Boy was I wrong. What a blast!! Very hot and humid in October, I hear it's a bit nicer in December.

When we arrived, our luggage was taken to be “sanitized”. We had no idea that we wouldn’t have a room available until 3 when we arrived a little after noon. We were bombarded with upsells from room upgrades to so many other things that we walked away. I did complain enough to have a room by 2. The three nice restaurants that I was so excited to eat at had a dress code. We were not able to eat at them because my male companion didn’t bring “long pants” why in the world would that matter? I guess I have not been in a setting to where you have to do that. I am a very simple plain woman. Most of the people were so nice but of course you always have your bad eggs that I suppose don’t like their job. I will definitely let everyone know that I know to bring long pants. I was disappointed to say the least. I will more than likely not go here again and if I pick a different resort. We will know to bring long pants and please don’t forget things like sunblock, ibuprofen because I paid $42 for sunblock. Wow. We thought about buying “long pants” but you better be ready to pay $100 for those and I am talking US Currency. The pool life was great and all the employees there were welcoming and so nice!!! Only if the other parts of the resort could take lessons. 😘

Such a beautiful resort with great food, perfect pools & lovely beach. Be sure to take yoga in the mornings then enjoy Angel & the entertainment team’s activities all day long. Angel is the best! He’s so friendly & knowledgeable. Go in the summer to see nesting sea girl toes come up to the beach at night. They have a protocol for rescuing & hatching the eggs directed by a marine biologist. So amazing!

Maybe the best all-inclusive we’ve been to! Beautiful resort, more modern than tropical. The food was excellent everywhere. The gym was gorgeous. The service was AMAZING! Seamless check in, great butler service, every employee went above and beyond. Samuel and Miguel at the Sugar Reef bar and Isaac at the Sea Salt Grill! I love trying new resorts but we will definitely be coming back to this one!

I stayed here with my mother in January 2020 for 7 days and it was the best vacation we have ever been on (we've been to Mexico resorts for 10+ years). The most clean rooms we've seen at a resort and the staff were always looking to assist you. Pools and beach were beautiful and drinks were amazing! They did not hold back on alcohol at all. Best Italian and Steak restaurant I've been to in an all inclusive. I'm already dreaming to go back there every year! Only negative was that the walls are fairly thin and we heard our neighbors partying at night. I really cannot say enough good things about this place. Go already, it's truly a dream vacation!

WOW! Where do I even start?! This was not my first all-inclusive resort but it has definitely become my favorite. I was hesitant on booking Secrets The Vine due to the high cost but it IS worth it! If you are contemplating this resort, do yourself a favor and BOOK IT. I was treated like luxury my entire stay. The staff was so kind, very attentive, and treated us very well. You can tell they are treated well and love working at Secrets. My husband and I brought in the New Year with Secrets and was so glad we did. They did an elegant New Year's Eve dinner and put on a whole show outside in the pool area. If you are looking for relaxing luxury, this is your spot. All restaurants are open, including buffets (there are servers handling the food). You can order food poolside, room service and much more. When eating at the restaurants, do note that there will be a wait; nonetheless the food is very fresh and delicious. The drinks are top shelf liquor. The beach front is clean and beautiful. We upgraded our room to a preferred suite and could see the entire strip from our balcony. During your stay, treat yourself to a complete spa experience (dry sauna, wet sauna, ice bath, jacuzzi, & full body massage). We will definitely be back.

Hello, I would recommend Secrets the Vine Cancun to those who want to spend quality, leisure time with their loved ones, friends. We enjoyed the pool table and ping pong. It was a complete satisfaction to enjoy and experience the surroundings, amenities, facilities, and special health hygiene in COVID-19. The cherry on the cake was 'FOOD'. Every restaurant in the hotel was amazing. We simply loved the hotel. Thank you for making our holidays memorable.

Without a doubt the best resort I have ever stayed at! I was here for a week with my husband on our honeymoon and everything was perfect. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, the food was amazing, and especially during COVID, it was evident the safety measures they were taking to ensure guests felt comfortable and safe. Everything was sanitized always--they even sanitize your luggage for you upon arrival. All pools were incredible with a nice view of the beach. The coffee bar in the lobby was so good, we got something from there every day. 10/10, we will absolutely be back and I will be recommending this resort to everyone I know.
